House Guests

We are excitedly awaiting the arrival of Grandma and Grandad from Texas.  There are floors to be vacuumed and sheets to be washed, toys to be picked up.  But first, a cup of coffee.  We like it when Grandma and Grandad come, Grandad is the best baby (I mean big kid) sitter and Grandma is an awesome sewer.  The only bummer this time around is that I won’t get a quilt out of it.  Too many bags to work on.  She has no idea what’s in store- lots and lots of bags.  Usually when she comes I have a quilt all cut out and she helps me sew it together.

We will be replacing the downstairs windows with the help of Grandad, hope he is ready for that.  But never fear, there is also some fun on the agenda.  We will be visiting the Chihuly exhibit.  We saw it a couple years ago when it came through before.  It is so cool, so much color.  If it ever comes through your town, go see it!  Lots of pictures to come on that one I’m sure.  Look here for more cool Chihuly.

Susan/Gramma:

The family visit was much better than the Chihuly show - several of the bigger pieces from his show a couple of years ago are now on permanent exhibit at the Conservatory there, some awesome bowls, but not much else. His stuff is still beautiful and I agree - go see his work if it is ever near you.
