I started following the story of the Kim family last week before it hit the news. At that point they were all still missing. I tuned into the search page everyday and read blogs of friends of the family. Then the good news that the mom and girls were found. Unbelieveable. There was hope. But the dad was still lost and as the each day passed it was looking less likely that he would be found alive. And then yesterday- they found his body a mile from the car. One mile. But he had traveled 8 miles. He was on his way back to them. It breaks my heart. And made me hug my kiddos a little tighter last night. Especially my little one who was curled up in a chair- head burning from a fever. As hard as that little guy can be I would do anything for him- life would not be the same without him.
So, slow down- take the time to appreciate what you have. How quickly things can change.

I had my eye on these guys for a while and since I am doing most of my shopping online this year (and trying to support small businesses) I figured it was time.
So for some little guys in my life, I ordered up a few of these. Austin and Alex are getting OX and Blake is getting Secret Mission OX. Cole isn’t getting one, he is into Snoopy right now and Max isn’t getting one because his family requested no more stuffies.
Can’t wait to see them in person!

in the midst of a very busy holiday season, our desktop computer crashed. Ka-put. Fortunately we have most of the information we need on our laptop. But the printer, scanner, and all the other office items that were hooked up to our computer have to be taken off and somehow hooked up to our laptop. Sigh. What a pain. And to top it off our big tv in the family room died last night. Geesh.
Feel like making a cute and colorful garland? Anna Maria has a great tutorial here

The final day for holiday delivery. We are slammed here so thanks again for everyone’s patience!
After a couple weeks of weather pushing close to 70 degrees it looks like a storm might be headed our way. I want snow, lots of snow but the weatherman says that most of it will miss us. We will probably just get cold rain. Which isn’t fun.
We want snow!!!
I have so many ideas bouncing around in my head for new bags for the new year. I have bolts and bolts of new fabric waiting to go up- I just stare at it longing to do something with it……
Look for a lot of new stuff in the next month or two.
In the meantime
Need a stocking stuffer?

Need a bag to carry your ipod and cell phone while you walk the dog?

And check this out, my sewing partner came up with this new version of the Lily bag for a Christmas gift for her mom-
I am calling it Lily2, look for it after the holidays
