Whew

Spring Break is coming to an end… wrapping a week that included a couple cases of stomach flu and a rush to get a huge order out to Rachel my numero uno consultant.

One of the things I like about my husbands job (which by the way if you click on that link be warned, that homepage picture is frightening- in so many ways- starting with her mouth hanging open, what a crack-up) is that I sometimes get to go out actually meet new people- not something that happens too often in my line of work. Thursday night we got to go out to dinner and a Blue Jackets game with a couple of really nice people. The seats were amazing, right behind the penalty box, I got to stare at the back of Rick Nash’s head. Which let’s face it is the real reason I go to hockey games.

The weather has gone from the 80’s down to the 30’s and it actually snowed today. A good day to rent some movies and recover.

The not so good side of Spring

Allergies. I have been hit hard by allergies the past few days. It came on slow with itchy eyes and has gotten worse and worse. We had a storm blow in last night and I thought for sure it would blow away whatever was making me sneeze. It didn’t. It only got worse. I haven’t had allergies this bag since I lived in Austin.

So Spring is pretty

When storms roll in at the farm they can be very loud and sometimes intimidating, but also fun. We like to run around outside until the wind and dark clouds get too scary.

Austin and I kept trying to get pictures of lightning but we never could react on time.

So tomorrow it is home again. Andy went home yesterday and had a quick trip to NYC but by tomorrow night we all settle back in.

Off to take some Benadryl and put myself out of my misery.

Greetings from the Farm

Spring and Summer are the best times at the farm, trees blooming bright fun colors.

Playing some LAX out front.

Dogs doing a lot of running. Shiloh is loving the acres to run and roam. She is going to be one tired puppy.

Everyone gets cleaned up (hands at least) and we head out to our favorite Mexican restaurant where Cole tries out his Spanish that he has picked up from Dora the Explorer. Full bellies head back for warm chocolate chip cookies or Graeters Ice Cream. The same routine always. Traditions are a good thing.

Once we are back it is more LAX until the sun starts to go down.
