Mixed Up

I woke up this morning and could not figure out what day it was. The boys getting out of school on Wednesday made it feel like Friday and it has all been confusing since.  Andy was in NYC for meetings yesterday so that combined with the fact that I had three tired, fighting boys made dinner at the pool a no brainer.

As I sat on the edge of the pool with my friend Kris (who is also my neighbor) we chatted about our days.  The birthday party Blake attended yesterday where he saw a kid get his two front teeth knocked out (permanent teeth), the non-stop sewing I did, oh and check out this hole in my arm where I punctured it on a nail today.  Silence.  She looked at me and said, “ok so you do realize, don’t you, that you have to come in tomorrow and get a tetanus shot??”  Darn it.  I knew she was going to say that.  See Kris is also a doctor.  I’m not afraid of shots any more, 3 c-sections pretty much cured me of that, it’s just the hassle of the whole thing.  Which really isn’t a hassle because her office is about two blocks from my house and I can take my kiddos with me.  She doesn’t care.  I love her laid-back office.  I am just trying to figure out how to get her to do house calls because I am lazy.  Well she does house calls- like when Cole busted his head open and I didn’t know if he needed stitches.  But she doesn’t charge for those.

So now I am home, with a band-aid on my arm and an appraiser here looking at all the nooks and crannies of my house- hope he doesn’t mind stepping over all the piles of dirty underwear I saw in Austin’s room this morning.
