dogs life

Posted in ElisaLou | 3 Comments »

This dog has a pretty tough life, laying on the couch pillow where she is not supposed to lay.

Then later, a play date when Phoebe from down the street comes over to play

and then it’s all a blur

There are 5 dogs in this picture, can you see them all?

Have a good weekend!

the guys came back today even though it is freezing outside.  Astro watched from a front window

I think they ran out of brick

but, at least we are making progress and this should keep the mud to a minimum.  In the front anyway.

Laptop Sleeves

Posted in ElisaLou | 3 Comments »

We are getting lots and lots of orders for laptop sleeves so I wanted to remind everyone to send in their computer dimensions when they place an order.  They are custom made to fit individual laptops, not one size fits all.

I have been getting a lot of requests to see pictures of the house, I plan to do this once I get a chance to put it all back together.  Elisalou is back to being a full time job now that the “construction” break is over.  One of these days I will get the house together and post pictures- promise!

Meet the Blue Jackets

Posted in ElisaLou | 6 Comments »

Yesterday we took the boys to meet some of their favorite Blue Jackets. How cute is this?? Blake and one of our favorite players Nikolai Zherdev

and here he is with Rostislav Klesla

and I loved this one of Cole with Nikolai

Austin got his hat signed

And high-fived Stinger, the teams mascot

So very cool. The only downside was that Rick Nash is sick with the flu or something and didn’t make it. Cole was a little sad about that.

Z and hair

Posted in ElisaLou | 12 Comments »

Two things.  First Miss Z is doing so good.  Back to her normal crazy self.  Keeping her down for two weeks is a total joke.

My sweet little Cole just snapped this picture of me and Z.  He informed me that I must make a silly face when he takes my picture so this came next.

He was very pleased with this one.

SO on to the hair.  This is what happens when you give the guy that cuts your hair no boundaries.  Well only a few.  I told him that he could go lighter or darker, his choice- but to keep in mind that my husband prefers it blonde.  I wanted something fun, hip, out of my comfort zone.  I am trying to grow it long so I wanted to keep the length but get rid of the bulk (I have gobs of uncontrollable hair).  Most of all a fun easy cut.

I have never had a cut like this before.  It’s fringy, and so lightweight.  I actually love it and I think my husband does too- even though he went darker with blonde highlights.  Boys not so much, 2 out of 3 said they preferred the way I looked before.  One says he really likes it, and it’s not the one I would have predicted to like it- so there you go.  You just never know, and you can’t please everyone.

Off to clean up a but before our friends come over for the Super Bowl.  I guess I am hoping the Pats win it as Austin is a pretty big Patriots fan these days.

Resting

Posted in ElisaLou | 1 Comment »

Zoey came home last night all spaced out and pathetic. They told me to give her ice chips but she had no interest. She really couldn’t move. I took her out to use the bathroom and had to help hold her up. She just stared at me all glassy eyed. I felt so sorry for her. I was a bit worried because at one point she started crying really loud and trying to bite at the air.

Andy was at Austin’s lacrosse game and I was trying to keep the other two boys from fighting while I baby-sat the sick pooch, trying to keep the other dogs away from her. By the time they got home I was a bit stressed but of course she perked up at that point and actually started eating some ice. Relief.

Her biggest issue is the collar. Fortunately it isn’t one of those big plastic things- but Zoey can’t even wear a regular collar without flipping out- she can’t walk, she flops to the floor and just rolls around until we take it off. So you can imagine the distress this clown-like collar is causing her. It’s a good thing she didn’t go to a home that wanted a small dog to dress up. She is pretty much the tom-boy of the bunch. And now that I think about it, all our dogs have their roles messed up. We have a Retriever that won’t retrieve, a prissy hound dog, and a tom-boy foo-foo dog. Weird. Oh and a very old coyote. Can’t forget him.

The boys are home from school today- extra puppy-sitters are good to have around.
