Words

As I was going to bed Friday night I realized that my day could be summed up in series of words.  Here they are.

REST

Boys didn’t have school on Friday because of conferences so we got to sleep until 8:30.

YUM

Morning coffee mixed with organic chocolate milk- my favorite!

 BREATHE

Another warm day, threw open doors and windows.   And took a deep breath.

FRUSTRATION

Find Shiloh chewing the head off an army guy, bad dog
FRIENDS

A couple of extra boys in the house

PEACE

Boys all playing well

HUMOR

One of my friends wants a bunch of our RubberMaid bins to pack up stuff before she starts a big home remodel.

I told Austin and his buddy Matthew to load up the wagon and take them down to Matthew’s mom (they live down the street).  So I watch as they  mumble and complain and load the wagon up with this tall tower of bins, a very top heavy tower.

They manage to get it out to the street (we live at the top of a hill) and Matthew decides he will pull it.  He starts to run with the wagon- the bins leaning one way and then the other as they are about to topple.  The wagon starts gaining on him, his flip flops go flying as he tries to run faster.  Our elderly neighbors stop raking leaves to watch, our friend Peggy is heading up the street towards Matthew in her car.  Austin is laughing so hard he can’t keep up, I get off the road and onto the sidewalk.  Matthew manages to steer the wagon into the curb, resulting in some lids and such flying out of the wagon.  Crash. Peggy stops her car- laughing and asking what we are doing- “don’t ask” I said.   We make it down to Matthew’s house, losing a few in the middle of the road.  Later when I told Andy about it he said, “did you give them any guidance about how to get them down there??”  Now why would I have done that??

RELIEF (sorta)

Andy calls and says that he is going to leave work at 3 since they boys are off of school.  But then tells me that he’s taking Austin and Matthew to the new James Bond movie.  Oh, so he gets off work early but then takes the EASY kid.

RELIEF AGAIN

When the other two don’t pitch a fit about Austin going to the movie and are happy watching Kung Fu Panda at home (again) with me.

SWEET

Cole asking Blake’s guitar teacher if he will teach him to play guitar too

COOL

Blake learning to play Elvis- A little less conversation

WORK

Cutting, bagging, photography, editing

CLEAN

clothes, dishes, floors, boys

PROUD

When I went out to the front yard to rake the leaves to curb I took Barley the Golden Retriever with me.  She sat out there with me and did not bark, chase, or even get up when about 10 different dogs walked by with their owners.  Even when I went next door to do Kitty Jo’s leaves she stayed put.  What a good girl- of course it helps that she is big and lazy.  Love her.  🙂

HAPPY

Blue Jackets kicked some serious booty against Buffalo.

GOOD

A very good day 🙂
