Anyone else done with winter?

I am so tired of winter

I am a little tired of the mess- boots, coats, gloves…..

I am so tired of winter

This week we are enjoying warm temps, all of our snow and ice has pretty much melted. That means mud. And messy messy doglets.

And it is supposed to snow again by the end of the week. But for today, I will throw open the windows and let the “tropic” 60 degree winds blow through.

Patiently waiting for the delivery men to bring my new couch- I finally bit the bullet about bought my “dream” sofa. SLIPCOVERED!

I promise to take pictures.

Oh and for the questions about the previous post-

The cool shoes are from the Gap.

The basketball pictures were actually taken by Andy. He was playing around with my new baby.

My new baby

It is a EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM, you can learn more about it here.

As for the settings, I asked him what he shot on- and he said “everything”. I know that is not much help. I thought the same thing!

When I shoot Blake playing basketball I usually just shoot on sports mode so I get that rapid fire. Not only does this allow for movement- it also helps with focus. I crank the iso to 1600 and change the white balance because the lighting in the gym is really really bad. I have tried to shoot manual but I never get anything because of all the movement. I hope that helps.

I haven’t really played around with the new lens yet. It is very heavy! I am up to about 5 lenses now- I can’t wait to get busy. Prior to buying this latest lens, I used a cheaper canon zoom- and it was ok.

Hey, what’s this “snow again by the end of the week” deal? Did you plan that for our visit? Can’t you bottle up that 60 degree stuff you wrote about?

I love, love, love all your fiesta ware!! I didn’t even notice the coats/backpacks on the floor because I was intrigued by your fiesta ware pitchers…LOL

You lucky girl! So jealous on the lens! Valentine’s day is coming, maybe…

Love the new couch. And the doggie looks so very comfortable too. Enjoy your tropical weather. Hopefully the snow will miss you.
