Happy One Month Birthday Baby Girl!

I still can’t believe you are a month old. But I am well aware of how fast children grow. Way too fast.

The first time I saw you I was afraid to pick you up because you were so very small. You looked so fragile. But you proved to be a tough little thing and have quickly put on weight and added a few rolls as well. Yesterday you wore your first dress! I am going to have some serious fun with girl clothes, at least until you hit 12 or so and our ideas of of how to dress start to clash.

I love the fact that you do not cry a lot. I have walked the floors many a night with a screaming boy, you are proving that girls are tough.

I am still trying to figure out your sleep. You are eating less at night, but only sleep well when snuggled in next to me. I must admit that I don’t mind 🙂

Want to see how you spent your day? Passed out.

You poor thing. I am hoping that she gets her days & nights figured out before you have to go home. I had a boy (15 now:) that NEVER slept! Not at night and not during the day. Boy was it tough that first year. Might be why I only have one:)

What a little angel! Congratulations to you and the rest of your family. Your little boys are so beautiful and now they have a gorgeous little sister to protect and pester. Susan is soooo excited.

you’ll be lucky if you get to age 12 on the clothing.. the girlie attitude usually kicks in around 4. hopefully you’ll be lucky and get the one that wants to wear dresses all the time instead of the one that won’t be caught in a dress…

Baby girl dresses are the best! Add in the matching panty/diaper covers and bonnets….so cute!
As the mom of two little girsl though, I feel the need to point out you may not be dressing her til age 12. Sadly my 2 year old already knows *exactly* what she wants to wear each day…my 5 yr old prefers to dress herself as well. I thought I had until at least elementary school.
Enjoy all those snuggles…soon enough you’ll have to share her with your boys.

So cute! I have to admit though I was a bit relieved when we found out we were having a boy and I didn’t have to deal with bows, ribbons and patent leather.

Enjoy the snuggles now. My son is 9 months old and wants to just go!

    Two comments…

    1. I have a 4 yo (nearly 5) daughter. She has expressed her opinion about clothes since age 1. You mightn’t have as long as you think before Eva’s opinion doesn’t match your dreams. Of course, my dd is a princess who wears dresses every day of the year, but I am/was a tomboy.

    2. My dd is a contact baby (that is what I call it). She sleeps best when in contact with a person. When she naps at my mom’s house, she rests her toes on my mom’s cat and will sleep longer than when left alone. Within minutes of the person (or cat) gets up from resting with her, she is up- even when still exhausted. Some kids are like this. I wish we had a sib close in age to her so that I could put them in the same bed – and keep our midnight visitor out of our bed. I have to walk her back to her room several times in a night.

    Enjoy the little moments-
    Kathy
