The power of Twitter

and complaining.

My dishwasher broke- again.  2nd time in 2 weeks.  We bought this dishwasher 2 years ago and it has broken 3 times in the last 5 months.  Same thing every time.  $170 to fix.

So I “tweeted” on Twitter that I would never buy another Kitchen Aid dishwasher.  A few days later I get an email from Kitchen Aid.  They read my tweet and wanted to help with the problem.

How cool is that?  They are planning to pay for the latest service call, which I am not holding out hopes will fix the problem for good but at least it is a start.

Either way, kudos to them for great customer service.  Hopefully they will change my mind about my dishwasher.

I still haven’t pulled out my camera- well except for product photography

Padded Kindle Pouch But….

I am considering doing a 365 project.  I know, it’s the last thing I should think about doing.  Really.  I am crazy for even considering it.

Anyone else up for it?  A photo a day?

I have a few more days to decide…

wow that’s great that they are so willing to help out but even cooler that their are fans of your tweeting. Maybe they’ll give you a discount on your new dishwasher..hehehehe

The 365 day project. Will the photos be of your handbags/accessories or just random pics of everthing? Neat idea. I like it.

I’ve also been contemplating the 365 idea. I really want to get to know my camera better. Sounds cheezy I know, but I’m a horrible pic taker. Like you said, a couple more days to decide. I’ll be so mad if I forgot a day or something so that’s why I’m unsure about the “committment” 😉

The 365 – do it! I did it in 2007 and 2008 and loved the project and how it really challenged me to look at things in a new way through the lens. And it’s not so hard to do – it really becomes habit to take at least one photo every day and it forces you to carry a camera with you everywhere.

I fell behind in 2009 – I probably do have a picture from almost every day (though most of them are of my dogs!), but I was never able to catch up and post the backlog on my blog. Maybe I’ll start fresh in 2010!

I am doing the 365 Project and now I am so hoping you will too because it will encourage me to keep going! I didn’t succeed at this 2 years ago but am giving it another try in 2010.

I’m in! I did this project last year and made it until July. That is when we started with all this moving business and that took over our lives. I take photos and I almost take one every day. I am thinking about playing catch up with 2009. I almost have a photo a day so it would just be printing them and journaling. Work but doable. I love that about Kitchenaid. Hope you get it resolved this time.

seriously? they contacted you?! wow. so cool.

definitely do a 365. or what about….52 weeks? i don’t know. i do one but i am not real specific on it…sometimes two of the pics may have been on the same day.
and i don’t usually end with 365 but it’s still cool to see it all together. someone mentioned this week then about printing in a book form when you are done….i loved that idea. a book called 365. 🙂

your response from kitchen aid inspired me . . . i am a little frustrated w/ pottery barn kids. i tweeted so i’ll see if it works. i don’t have the following that you have so i’m betting pbk never finds out. it’s worth a try!
