The big day

She had a great day.  She didn’t get cranky or whiny all day long.

My friend Aimee made her this adorable little “e” shirt.  It is gonna look so cute with her tutu.

I was so glad that she was in a good mood.  She has been moody and clingy lately, but today was all smiles.

It has been a weird few weeks around here, months really.  With Eva going through a rough spell, my allergies making me a mess, but most importantly us realizing that it is probably time for us to move on.  Well for Andy to move on, career wise.

We have been waiting for things to get better.  And waiting.  But they aren’t.  We have told the kids that there is a very real possibility that we will move.  Life is just too short to be in a toxic workplace.

But because this is a birthday post, and not a Andy’s job sucks post I will leave it at that.

I mention it only to say that as things came to a head yesterday, on Eva’s birthday no less – we needed a reason to celebrate.

I feel like I have been stressing for so long about the idea of Andy taking a new job, of us picking up and moving.

But yesterday I realized that it will all be ok.  I so love this little family of mine.  We can do it, we can make it work.  At Eva’s birthday dinner last night when we were talking to the kids briefly about job opportunities out there Blake blurted out, “I love having a big family.”

My kitchen has the worst light.  Next house, lots of windows in the kitchen!
