Swim

Last night was the yearly carnival at my boys school. Usually it rains and so tons of people and games are crammed in the hot school and the parents are miserable.

But after a week of rain the sun decided to show it’s face again and it was a wonderful night.

Blake had gone home with a friend and was spending the night so we walked over to the school with the other three.

Austin took off to do big kid stuff, Andy stuck with Cole, and Eva and I got to just chill with friends and listen to my friends band play. It was the best carnival yet.

I saw Blake here and there, at one point he walked by and said, “I think I am on a sugar rush!!”.

At one point Cole had a cow tail in one hand and an airhead in the other with his arms spread out like an airplane running in circles over and over.

The sugar intake was high.

Austin left to go to a friends sleepover birthday (oh that poor mom with all those sugared up 12 year olds!) and Andy and I walked home with the young ones.

Today is gorgeous and we plan to spend it on yard work. I’m looking forward to it.

The older boys are going to be tired and grumpy, especially Austin who has to go straight from sleepover to 2 hour lax practice and then come home and mow Kitty Jos yard.

But for now I sit watching Cole try to pull every trick in the book on his swim teacher!
