Buckeyes

It’s that time of year again. Buckeye time! On the tree and on the field.

And in honor of the first OSU football tomorrow night against Marshall, we picked a bunch of Buckeyes for the boys

They come in these big husks that are pokey on the outside and spongy on the inside

The boys love to pick the nuts out

This little dude went crazy with them. Used a brick to break them open (which really isn’t needed but he likes to do things over the top)

And look- it’s a triple!

Buckeye necklaces are really big around here, so these will be used to string up

Remember these shots?

Austin looks so young in those shots!

Bowl of Buckeyes

Go Bucks!

Rene Schmidt - I’m a Pittsburgh girl … and grew up in an area with tons of buckeyes! We always made them into necklaces and bracelets!! What great memories!! 🙂

LibraryGirl62 - Holla from a transplanted Buckeye in Naples, FL 🙂

Ginky John - My remembrance of buckeyes is that they are poisonous, especially to dogs.
