My love hate relationship with resale stores

I have posted on here before how much I love to buy things at Once Upon a Child. Because often you find brand new things for dirt cheap. Yesterday I raked it in for Eva

And all my pictures here are blurry, had my camera on manual focus and didn’t realize it!

There is always lots of Gap, Gymboree, and even a Matilda Jane dress (for $8)

This cute little Gap skirt still had the tags on it.

And these Halloween pj’s??? Sooo cute.

I will admit having a girl is fun.

My hate part comes in with selling there. I learned from my friend Karen to just stop. Because it feels way better just to donate than to go through the hassle of getting the stuff together and them telling you they don’t want your stuff. Even if you just bought it there yesterday.

It took me a while to realize that Eva can’t wear jeans. I would keep buying them, bring them home, pull off the tags, and THEN try them on her. When a girl has a booty like J Lo (and I know first hand here) it is hard to find jeans that will fit.

The last pair I put her in was a couple days ago. I set her down and she just immediately tipped over. She got up, but couldn’t bend her legs. I dropped her off at the childcare at my gym and my friend Terri and I had a good laugh as I explained to the girl working there that Eva was having trouble walking today but I was pretty sure it was just her jeans.

So I have all these jeans. And OUAC won’t take them. They are all cute, namebrand, but no.

Anyway, it feels better to give them away.

Moving on, the little chica has learned a new trick. She can unhook her strap in her high chair and she tries to climb out.

I totally expected Meg to call me out on the 5 kid comment yesterday but she didn’t say a thing. Wonder if that means something….

When she grows up, she’s going to look at these pictures and ask you what the heck you did with her hair!

I agree 100%. I stopped taking my good, name-brand things to the resale shop for the same reasons. I find I can sell them for more on eBay, if I take the time to, or just donate them.

She is so cute in the last two pictures! She knows that she is doing wrong:)

Meg didn’t call you out because she knows it’s the truth:) She would probably tell you that she is crazy:) Love Meg!

Wish they had resale shops like that for tall women like me.

I wonder what goes through her mind when she sees you pull out a camera? ha

it means that i am crazy.
    i am a crazy person.
i feel like i am losing my mind this week (or month) and wheni read that i didn’t even blink because i have already bought my ticket to the looney bin.
there is plenty of room here in crazytown by the way. 🙂

no….really i just clicked on the song and listened and forgot.

    i wish i had a j-lo butt.
i have wide hips and no butt at all.
    it’s an ugly combo.

My girl has a J Lo booty, too! She has definite issues with jeans that have a lower rise. (And why, exactly do toddler jeans need a lower rise???) I bought her a pair of cute critter capris on clearance at J Crew a couple of years ago and it was ridiculous! Did not fit. Not one single bit.
