Like Clockwork

Exactly a year ago I woke up on a Sunday morning, looked outside, and burst into tears.

Fresh snow was coming down in buckets. I looked at Andy and said, “I can’t take it another day”.

Knowing when I am at my breaking point, he said “pack the car, take the sleepover guest home, lets head south”.

And we did. Just like that.

We hit the road that morning. I was soooo happy.

We kept driving until the breeze on our face was warm, and the sun could actually be seen instead of heavy gray dripping skies.

We ended up here

Andy flew back home to work for a few days while the kids and I did a tour of Texas, seeing friends and family that we had not seen in a while. Andy met back up with us in Austin. And by that time my sanity was restored and I was a happy girl again. A girl that didn’t want to go home.

So here it is a year later and boom, I woke up- looked at Andy and said “can we leave early??” because knowing what happens to me this time of year, we planned ahead.

But this time he said, “you have to wait”. So waiting I am- but the girly? She already has her new bikini on, prancing around the house like nobodies business. I was following her with my iPhone to get a picture, she was doing some serious booty shaking.

And the countdown to operation sunshine is on!
