Happy Wednesday

Glad you guys survived my puke post, and thanks for the well wishes! I feel sooooo much better. That is a road I hope to not go down again anytime soon!!

Besides the crappy night when we got home, we had a great weekend at the farm.

The weather was just about perfect, which meant lots of hammock time.

This dog is the ultimate farm dog. She LOVES it there

These two can fight like nobodies business, but they are also the crazy no fear ones. So at times they get along great.

And they can pretend to be sleeping so I will stop taking pics

But then they get tired of waiting for me to go away and get back to playing.

I accidentally deleted all of our pics from our first night, which included the ones of her covered in dirt sporting only a diaper because she trashed her cute Matilda Jane dress at dinner- spaghetti was stuck all over it. Good thing Ginky had stain treater!

I got some hammock time as well……

Cole somehow convinced Ginky that even though it was HER birthday, we needed to celebrate at his fave place- Gattitown. Which is like an older kid version of Chuck E Cheese.

He got a bunch of Ninja stuff with all of his tickets.

No words…

As you might guess, we had to take away his Ninja weapons more than once

And I am pretty sure we conveniently left them there at the farm.

Just wait it gets worse…. he says this is a pirate move but I told him it was ok, I wouldn’t tell that he was a Ninja doing a pirate move (even though it was gross, and even though I promised not to put it on the blog…)

I had pictures of Austin learning how to use the big mowers, but they got deleted. Boo.

He’s my only freckled face blue eyed kid. At least one looks like me!

It started to rain so we watched it from the porch.

Some (or one) of us decided to play in it

My cute little Ninja

He is still her fave

She did some farming….

Her brother used some of his tickets to get her a dora ball at Gattitown. She played catch with him….

And she gets so excited when he throws it back

She let him ride her tractor- which has now belonged to 5 or 6 grandkids.

And finally dad arrives and the welcome committee heads to greet him!

More farm pics soon! Off to prepare for my Barley girl, she comes home today!!!

    Hey Elisa!

Just found your blog again after losing the address for a while – I love this set of photos – you have a knack for capturing your own kids – mine are always so surly in photos I give up! But you have inspired me to keep trying 🙂

Oh – and congrats on your hard-earned 5lb weight loss – silver lining!

    Best,
    Laura

Hi Elisa, I wanted to say I am glad you are feeling better. Being sick is the pits. I laughed out loud when you said your “forgot” the ninja tools at the farm. I can’t tell you how many toys have been “forgotten” at grandma’s. My reasoning is that they need toys when they come to visit.

This just looks so idyllic it kills me. Makes me want a farm…and a little girl to go with my three boys!
