Party School

The back to school party was a little different this year

Food trucks instead of packed dinners, ice cream stands, fire trucks, and a new band.

We have been going to this shindig for 9 years now and as the older kids phase out and the younger kids phase in we sit and watch it all from our blanket on the hill

Every time I turned around someone was giving Eva more ice cream, candy, capris suns.

My friends son that is a day older than Eva.  She kept pushing him around in his stroller.

When Austin went to this school one of his friends dads bands played.  It was an 80’s band.  Lots of parents would get up and dance.  This band was fun but there wasn’t much dancing.  In fact all the kids (and parents) seemed to be in the back on the playground.  It used to be that it was hard to find a spot on the hill.  This year it seemed like very few sat down…
