Carving Pumpkins

Yesterday afternoon/evening we carved pumpkins with some friends and neighbors. There was lots of food and pumpkin guts everywhere.

Eva took a handful of cherry tomatoes that I think she assumed were baby strawberries. She was not happy when she bit into it.

We set up lots of tables but most of the kids just wanted to sit on the ground to carve.

I can’t remember how many years now we have been doing this neighborhood party, glad the big kids still think that it is fun.

And grown-ups too

Sometimes there’s some friendly competition but this year was much more mellow.

With Halloween being on a Monday this year it seems much more spread out. Seems like we have been celebrating it for a month.

There was of course some pumpkin guts thrown at each other by the middle schoolers

But nothing too bad

I have to admit I am ready to wrap up Halloween of 2011.

Well after the little chica gets to dress up in her little witchy costume tonight. So cute.

Happy Halloween!
