Perfect

Despite the way my morning went yesterday, it actually turned out to be a perfect day.

The weather was amazing, and this little Miss here….

well she was so much fun to be around. After going to buy her oldest brother some much needed cold weather clothes, we played all day. I even let her skip her nap.

Eva and I both seem to do so much better when the sun is shining. She just keeps getting more and more fun. And now I look at her and see a little girl and less of a baby. Sigh. Why do they think they can grow so fast??

She calls her sunglasses her “eyes”. She says “I need my eyes!!” which always makes me laugh.

We walked over to meet Cole after school, who was starving. He asked if we could go to Costco and get a piece of pizza and a churro. I know it’s an odd request, but since Andy was out of town and Blake was at camp- I decided why not. We bought an extra slice for Austin and Eva said said she wanted a hot dog. And that was dinner. Easy! I had a bowl of cereal when we got home. Bor-ing.

Eva held it together despite her lack of nap so I threw her in the tub, read her some books, and rocked her to sleep. She was out by 6:45. Such a great day with her.

And then it was time for some Magic Tree House with Cole. He is on book #40, he loves them as much as his brothers did.

We finished up with him snuggled up next to me and he said, “this is really nice mom. Really nice.”
I agreed.

Besides missing my Blakey man- it was a perfect day.

I have to agree that the sun makes EVERYTHING better! I think our days of sunshine are limited here in Michigan so we are enjoying what is left.
