Choose Happiness

I was pulling out all of my craft and scrapbooking stuff yesterday trying to decide what to box and what I wanted to go with me to our rental. At one point I had individual books for each kid. Since Blake is still home sick we started looking through his book.

One thing that everyone always says about Blake is that he is always so happy- we used to say he lived in his own world “Blakey world”.

It’s been a hard few weeks around here and everyone, especially Eva has been out of sorts- ranging from just plain wild to downright mean and hitting. She doesn’t understand why her toys are boxed up or why no one has time to pay attention to her.

And poor Blake has coughed until I don’t think he can cough any more.

So when I saw this page in Blake’s book yesterday it was a good reminder for me to choose to be happy.

It won’t matter if I stop and play with Eva or watch a show with Blake. The packing will still be there.

And this one just made me smile

Blake still makes us very happy – except when he and his cousin Max team up at dominoes!

It makes me happy when I see a new post pop up from you 🙂

I kind of needed this today…actually this week. It’s been a doozy and I can’t figure out why…I have it SO easy, why am I so stressed?

Congrats on your big move coming up! It is exciting, stressful and a wonderful adventure all at the same time. I have a huge Rodney White print on my wall that says, “We tend to seek happiness when happiness is actually a choice.” So very true!

Good luck and remember that this too shall pass. The bad times pass, but so do the good ones. Don’t let those go without noticing them.
