Townhouse living

I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, 4 kids, 2 adults, and 3 dogs in a 3 bedroom townhouse.

It’s not terrible, it just has its challenges.

Let’s start with the good

– its brand new. We are the first to live in our unit
– it has a 24 hr mini gym that has all new equipment and is very nice
– it has a really nice pool
– dog park
-good location

Now for the not so good

Being new, it has a lot if stuff here and there that just doesnt work. Water pressure is non-existent, garage remote doesn’t work… I have had them out to fix stuff three times already.

We will be outta here before we can use the pool- hopefully!

We had to leave most of our furniture in Ohio temporarily and we are living with stuff we had in the basement. This means that the tv is no longer on the wall, it’s close to the floor, so Eva messes with it ALL the time.
She brushes her toothbrush all over, draws on it, stamps it with her mini stamps, hits it, turns it off and on, cable off and on, apple tv off and on…
The boys have another tv upstairs for the xbox and play station and they won’t let her in (for the same reason- tv close to floor). Cole makes passwords to get in, she figures them out and stands outside the locked door yelling “applejacks!!” or “easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy” or whatever he has changed it to. They still won’t let her in and she gets livid!!!
There is no yard, so lots of dog walking has to happen- boys have been pretty good about this.
The fridge has a water dispenser on the door- Eva loves it. Lots of water messes.
The freezer is tiny, I miss my big freezer. Nothing fits.
The stove has that flat electric top- Eva sticks her hands up there all the time.

But all in all it hasn’t been that bad. Mainly just for Eva and the availability to get into lots of trouble- oh her other fave thing to do is open the door and leave, or let the dogs out.

It has been nice to have time together, and for that I am thankful.

Spending more time with Austin has been especially nice, walking the dogs, going to the gym, watching movies.

The other night we watched the foo fighters documentary and Eva (who says she wants to be a drummer) played the drums with markers and a box of wipes. Love that
