Carolina Gold

There is no denying that Fall in Chapel Hill is pretty spectacular.

Red, Yellow, Orange, all coming together for golden afternoons.

I think people are under the misconception that we don’t get 4 full seasons down here in the south. But in this part we do. Fall stretches on a bit longer than it does up north, and Spring starts a little sooner. I think those are the biggest differences.

Which in my book, isn’t a bad thing.

Shiloh is a bossy big sister, can you tell?

Poor Zoey.

I have to admit I am not ready for winter, even a milder version.

I actually don’t mind snow- I just just don’t like cold and gray.

So for now we are going to enjoy these warm afternoons before we have to pack it in for the winter

We have Grandparents coming in tomorrow for Thanksgiving and lots and lots of yard work to do!

This is one of my fave pics ever. Love this crazy dog.

I am so jealous of your weather! We lived in Tennessee for a while and the Spring and Fall were fabulous (I hate gray too, but don’t mind snow). Enjoy your beautiful days and have a great Thanksgiving.

It’s so beautiful! The shortened seasons is one of the biggest things I had to get used to here in Texas. While the summers are HOT, the spring, fall, and even mild winters are so worth it. In fact I think I enjoy fall (my favorite season) even more here than in Colorado where it often gets cut short by the first snow.
