Lots of Green Smoothies

This puppy 🙂

We got Zoombezi Bay passes this year instead of the pool.

Hanging with neighbors. It’s fun having little ones around again.

Hanging out with friends.

Blake’s birthday dinner

Another trip to Zoombezi

I can’t believe Blake and MB are Seniors. I was just taking them to preschool and rec center classes yesterday….

Finding painted rocks around town

Lots of hanging outside

Texas Grandparents came to visit.

nd then it was beach time. 🙂

One of my fave things about vacation is the anticipation. I went alone with three of the kids. We stopped in Chapel Hill to spend the night on the way down to Bald Head Island.

Waiting for the ferry is also one of my fave parts. Knowing we had a full 2 weeks on the island in front of us. We order treats- usually fruit for Eva and cheesecake for Cole and a muffin for Blake. But the person if front of us ordered the last fruit cup and Eva was so upset. It was hot. It always is. But the breeze on the upper deck was nice and I refused to let her grumpiness damp my enthusiasm for getting out of Ohio and our beach time.

In the meantime back at home Andy and Austin took the dogs to Hocking Hills.

Back on the island Blake and I went to Howl at the Moon. A party on the beach for the full moon.

We spent many days at the Shoals Club. Eva loves the pool.

I loved getting to spend a lot of time with just Blake. We caught some sunsets, some stars (including shooting stars), and morning walks.

I REALLY want one of my kids to get married in the chapel

ing to catch fish. The week we were there without Andy was a bit exhausting but SO much fun. I miss it so much.

Blake and I got yummy breakfast sandwiches at the market after our walks most mornings and one night we out to dinner at Delphinas which usually is pretty good but they got Cole’s order wrong THREE times. Three. So we waited forever and honestly they didn’t even really apologize. Much less comp his order 🙁

But… it’s the only Mexican food on the island so we will always go back.

A couple sharks were caught (and released) very close to shore. These guys at first didn’t want to swim in the ocean that day but then changed their mind.

Tracking a great white shark that pinged 20 miles off BHI while we were there

So excited to get this pic of the boys on the boat headed over to the island.

This “puppy” had a great time on the island and I love him so much!

Luna pops are always a hit.

I love my dogs so much- it was so great to have them both there.

Hello- is there anybody in there. Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone home?

One of my fave beachfront houses.

And then back to Chapel Hill. Oh how I miss it. We had dinner at Top of the Hill, stayed at the Siena– my all time fave dog friendly hotel. And hit up Sugarland.

North Carolina has my heart thats for sure.

Walking around UNC, drinking from the fountain…

Absolute Heaven

And then back to Ohio

Coming home was bittersweet for sure.

Austin headed out to Wyoming for 10 days

This dog is bad. But funny. Sitting at or on this table is his new fave spot.

My garden was a late bloomer this year but the farms garden was in full swing. Love having organic veggies!

Eva and I took a trip to the zoo the last week of summer. Loved the baby polar bears.

My babies

Back to school shopping at Dad’s store

My sunflowers finally started to bloom

And then just like that it was back to school…

Austin to Ohio State

Eva to 2nd grade

Cole to 8th garde

I didn’t get a pic of Blake- he snuck out before I could 🙁

Found a rock down on the trail…

Back to school dinner at Rusty Bucket

And just hanging in the backyard. That wraps up Summer ’17 for us. It went way too fast!
