Feeling a little down

I know it’s not just me, everyone is posting about it all over Facebook. And I am SO very thankful that my oldest goes to college here in the same state and even the same town. I don’t get to see him whenever I want but close….whenever he wants 🙂

But, it’s still hard when he leaves. It’s been a week. The week part hits me every time for some reason. He came home Friday night and he and Blake started talking again about living together next year. The idea that they both will be gone hit me pretty hard. It hit Eva hard too. She started crying. Saying she didn’t want Blake to move out. Me neither baby, me neither.

I look back over this blog and it’s funny how I thought time was flying by back when they were little and how it made me sad. I had no idea what I was in for. This stuff is hard.

But….I also get to see that I tried to soak up every minute of it. The trips, the adventures, heck the day to day craziness. It was all so good. (well mostly).

Andy is sick of me talking about it I know. How I am SO thankful we didn’t stop at 2 kids. I would be in serious depression right now if that were the case. Feeling very thankful for the the two youngers these days. I don’t want an empty nest just yet. I am banking on a grandkid or two by the time Eva flies the coop. Fingers crossed. I can’t talk Andy into anymore kiddos- only Golden Retrievers 🙂

Moving on…. my garden is going insane with tomatoes this year

And I grew sunflowers for the first time. Flowers within flowers.

All my flowers now look like Fall

These pups…

Still working on flips on the trampoline.

Weekends go by way too fast.

I couldn’t help but smile at this. We have 4 kids, spanning ages 24 to 17. Our youngest just started his senior year of high school. But right on cue, we now have grandkid #1 on the way. 🙂
