Podcasts, New schools, New life

First up, this picture was emailed to me and I have serious heart eyes over it. I love getting pics like this ๐Ÿ™‚

I have been getting more and more into podcasts to listen to when I walk the dogs (we do really long walks). I am all caught up on My Favorite Murder and trying to figure out what to listen to next. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to let me know!

We loaded up the dogs to take them over to the river to swim. Hudson loves the water so much but Oak just likes to drink it ๐Ÿ™‚
Look at this bee hotel- so cool!

Someone put this climbing rope down the cliff on the best part of the river which was very helpful for Andy and I, the dogs just ran down at top speed.

Swimming in the Eno River

We walked over for some snacks in downtown Hillsborough that was dog friendly.

We stopped and checked out the old abandoned Colonial Inn. Man I would love to get inside there. We pretended we had a key ๐Ÿ™‚

House progress.

A picture from Ohio- so so thankful for great ways to stay in touch. I miss them so much.

We rented a boat and went to Lake Gaston for the day.

This house… perfection!

We had a great time at the lake- perfect end to the Labor day weekend.

Stole a pic from Austin’s girlfriends snapchat- Have I mentioned how much I miss this guy??

Hudson is handsome. Sometimes I have to just look away or I would spend all day snuggling with him.

This kinda stuff makes me so happy. And of course a little sad. This picture was taken by a friend back in Ohio. One of Austin’s friends lives at home and goes to Ohio State. Austin has his Jeep on campus now so he can drive back and go run on the trail with him. Have a I mentioned how much I miss him. I probably have….

More house progress and Hudson meeting the neighbors Goldie ๐Ÿ™‚

I miss our house, our big yard, our big garden- but we are doing the best we can to make the most of it. Both the kids have bigger rooms than they had at our old house so they are happy about that.

I finally got back to the Duke trail where I used to walk the last time we lived here. It was so nice to be back there. It smelled like pine and the dogs loved it.

Cole’s first XC meet.

Cole’s best bud Bodie came down from Ohio for the weekend. They spent the first day paintballing.

And the rest of the weekend just hanging out and walking around UNC.

Ohio State vs. Texas Christian. Dogs were showing their support.

We went to check-out a new neighbors music video at the neighborhoods theater.

I still haven’t pulled my big camera out. It makes me so sad. I put it on the table and I stare at it but just never pick it up. ๐Ÿ™

Another BarkBox victim.

And then Hurricane Flo showed up

But while it missed us except for some leftover flooding rain, it hit Bald Head Island pretty hard. ๐Ÿ™

We bought a lot of food, puzzles, and games just in case we lost power. Fortunately we never did.

Today on the way home from school Eva said โ€œhow do you spell phototropism?โ€ I said you mean โ€œphotosynthesis?โ€
She said โ€œno Iโ€™m not talking about plants getting food from light, I am talking about when plants move toward the lightโ€.
Nothing screams Chapel Hill more than not knowing what your 3rd grader is talking about. ๐Ÿ™„

And a picture from her teacher

Eva had a breakdown one night at the end of the first week of school but I think she was just tired and overwhelmed. She seems happy every day when I pick her up and to truly love her new school ๐Ÿ™‚
