Parmesan garlic spaghetti

When Andy and I were in college we used to make this easy pasta dish all the time. I stopped making it for a while but Cole loves it so it is back in the rotation. I usually sprinkle bacon in the top but that is optional.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Spaghetti
  • 5 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 6 cloves minced Garlic
  • 1/2 – 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil Pasta.
  2. While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 1/2 – 2 minutes. Once the garlic is softened, remove from heat and add red pepper flakes.
  3. Once pasta is cooked, drain, and then toss with garlic and olive oil mixture. Toss with freshly grated parmesan cheese. Salt according to taste. If you like spicy foods, add a touch more red pepper flakes.
