Zoombezi Bay

We are very lucky to have a huge amazing zoo that has a great waterpark as well.

Although we have been zoo members forever, this is the first year we also got a pass for Zoombezi Bay.

Yesterday we went with a bunch of friends and the kids had a great day.

I didn’t really get any shots of the park- but I did get Austin’s buddy Jake eating cheese fries.

His mother will be so proud

And Eva, who took the rest of Blake’s hot dog, couldn’t figure out how to get the whole thing in her mouth

It dawned on me the other day that my afternoons with Cole are about to be invaded by two older boys. And next year he will be in school all day.

So I have been trying to soak him in. Enjoy these last two weeks.

It’s not always easy, we have stuff we have to do, errands, chores.

But I have been trying to squeeze in fun too.

Like the zoo

It’s always the same- lunch is pizza, the dip n dots, the train ride. He likes his routine.

We have had some really nice days lately. I can’t remember the last time we used our a/c. Although that may change tomorrow when we are supposed to hit 88- gasp! I know. Sorry Texas fam! It has made for some good sleeping- pop on the attic fan and Eva is OUT.

Today we spent the day at the zoo. Our zoo has changed so much over the years. Recently they have added Zoombezi Bay water park and Jack’s Landing that has a bunch of rides.

I had all four of my kids and my friend Aimee had her two. I had no idea what to expect with the new “Jack’s Landing” I bought a wristband for two out of four but I figured I would stay with Eva and Austin just doesn’t like rides.

That left Aimee. I watched her go on all of the rides that needed an adult and felt a little bad.

Do you see her there in the middle (black shirt)- screaming, holding on for dear life? She went on this one twice. Actually she went on most of them twice. Well except the log ride- when she got off that one she was soaked. Her cute hair (which I should have told her looked really good- before the ride) was drenched. She muttered “hmmm took one for the team on that one.”

We get back home at 5pm, tired and hungry. Well except for Eva. She slept all day.
