is where I am headed this morning after getting a maximum of three hours of sleep last night. I don’t know why this always happens when Andy is out of town but I hate it! One kid with a nightmare, one kid with a stomachache, one kid can’t sleep, one wild puppy. They all go to sleep, then it starts all over, one kid in my bed, two kids in my bed, one kid to my bathroom turning all the lights on and flushing and washing hands. One big dog goes down the hall and lets the puppy out of one kids room, puppy thinks it’s time for play. I let them all out for a 3am pee. Big dogs can’t settle and I realize they are out of water so I get back up to give them water. They go to bed. Puppy can’t calm down when I bring her back in and try to leave her in my room. So we both go back to older kids room and she falls asleep. But wakes up an hour later whining. I get up and give her food- by this time it is 4:30. She eats and goes back to sleep for an hour and starts whining again- a thunderstorm of all things has rolled in and is LOUD. She has never heard thunder, she’s scared. I get up. Let all dogs out. Read email until it was time to get the kids up.
Now they are all up and one wants to stay home because he doesn’t feel good, one is coughing all over his cereal, and the little one is climbing on my back. At least the dogs are asleep.
My husband was up ’til 1am, working on his laptop IN BED, so I could not sleep. My 3-year old got up at 5 am to throw up on the bathroom floor, mere inches away from the toilet. It’s barely 8am and my 5-year old twins are bickering like mad. Thank God for the espresso machine. If I had to wait until I could get to Starbucks, no one would get to school.
If only all the boy children had gone to school today, you could have taken a long bath, then a long nap…. it’s the kid staying home from school that always throws me the most.
Hang in there. Just think about summer at the beach. We’ll lie around on the sand and read trashy novels and I’ll make the margaritas!
I hope your Starbucks was good! We are getting hit with yet another wave of bad weather…blizzard conditions, another foot of snow…I think I need a Starbucks White Mocha.haha ENJOY YOUR DAY!
Poor thing. So glad that back up is on the way.
Also, I received my purse yesterday! My husband said I looked so hip! Love it.
