Farmer’s Market

On Saturday’s from 8-noon our little town has a Farmer’s Market set up downtown.  Fresh organic produce, beautiful flowers, dried bunches of lavender, fresh jams and jellies- and even a booth with specialty treats for Fido.

Without sports to rush us out the door on Saturday mornings, we have gotten a little slow this summer to get up and going.  By the time I convinced the family to walk over there with me it was almost noon and people were starting to pack up.  I wanted some corn for dinner but it was all gone by the time we got there.

But, there were still lots of people hanging out and lots of booths still up to look at.

The weather has turned so nice, back down to low 80’s.

This little store is owned by one of the mom’s at the boys school.  That star pillow has my name all over it.

Even though we had just had breakfast and it wasn’t that hot, the boys of course can’t go downtown without begging for Graeters.

But instead we let them pop into Cottage Candy to check out their Webkins supply.

And in case you need  some nails, we also have a very handy hardware store.  Love the fact that people have been shopping in this store FOREVER!

Popped in Scotties to pick up more coffee.  I love this little coffee house and even the boys will hang in there when they have live music.

Today the live music was on the sidewalk

If you look closely on the 2nd story balcony of the Worthington Inn you will see a girl in a wedding dress.

After a game of Hide and Seek on the Village Green we walked back home.

  1. mmmm – Graeters! Thanks for sharing your photos – love them! We usually went to Market Day in the fall each year.
