Ok obviously we need something good to talk about since our poor Buckeyes got crushed.
So here we go.
My mother-in-law send me the best book for Christmas called Garden Spells. This is the kind of book that I want to read super slow and enjoy every minute. I don’t want it to end. You know how certain books are good at certain times? Like when you are at the beach you need a good mindless book, and when you are winding down from the holidays and a house remodel you need a book that wraps you up like a favorite quilt!
Speaking of quilts, we have had such warm weather lately and last night Austin and I sat out on the balcony, me wrapped in my favorite Amy Butler quilt, and him in a camo fleece thingy, reading our favorite books. Perfect. Until the wind started whipping up and he was sure a tornado was coming, oh and he also thought Zoey was going to squeeze under the rail and fall off.
The other great thing I did yesterday which I need to do more often is talk to one of my good friends that lives out of state. I miss you Amber!

I finished that a couple months ago and could not stop thinking about that tree!! Great book and I totally know what you mean about trying to make it go slow, I think I jammed through mine in about a day. So great!
Don’t you just love when books “open up” to a kid. My son just hit that stage where books are other worlds that he can go to anytime and it is no longer a chore to read.
And just like the tree, I can not stop thinking about your doggy shower. With five dogs, the hose can be a pain. :O)
I simply adore that book and was very sorry to finish it. It kind of gets under your skin, doesn’t it? I found it on the Barnes & Noble feature page and was lucky to buy it at a good discount. After I relished it, I gave it to Susan who has been passing it around. I’m glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. It makes me look at my new gardens in a whole new light. Watch our for apple trees:-)
When you find a good book, you really need to share it. I’m glad you liked it.
