Andy had this great idea to get my schedule organized. Trying to keep up with the sports, school, and various classes of three boys plus myself is not always easy.
So it started at Christmas when he bought me my very own crack-berry. Of course I have no idea how to use it. All of a sudden I can get my email on the run (sorta fun for about one day but my phone would make some weird jingle every time I got a message and well I get a lot of emails so it was always going off) and now he has incorporated my schedule onto it as well.
It is kinda cool that I can enter things into my laptop and they show up on my phone. But now that I know my schedule in advance, I am a bit out of my comfort zone. I tend to fly by the seat of my pants and now I have no excuse. It is right there, every rec center class for Cole, Blake’s soccer games, Austin and Blakes lacrosse seasons start next week, Andy’s OSU alumni stuff, Blue Jackets games, you name it.
Now he will be say, “but it was on your phone…..” see and I am already stressing about lacrosse season starting next week- evenings are hard on practice nights, especially if Andy is in NYC. Before I wouldn’t have stressed because I wouldn’t have even realized that LAX was starting until the day of practice when someone would call and ask for a ride or if we needed a ride. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. At least for me anyway. But I am going to try to hop on board and roll with it.
Here is another picture for my sister-in-law in Dallas, she is having trouble deciding which fabric is for her

More going out today

and these too

And bags…. it seems that I get the same questions in waves. Lately I am getting the “store” question a lot. No, I don’t sell to stores. I did, when I first started but when the website took off I just couldn’t do it. I’m just not sure boutiques are for me. And the thought of walking into a Hallmark and seeing a ton of Elisalou Bags makes me sick to my stomach. Nothing against Hallmark or Vera Bradley, just not my thang.
The other question that has come up again lately is the big Oprah question, as in have I ever pitched my product to her?? No, I have no desire to be on Oprah. I love what I do and for now it is perfect the way it is. Besides I would probably trip and fall walking out on stage.
A couple years ago I was asked to do the MTV music awards (gift bags for the pre-party) and while that is something that I actually did consider, it was just bad timing. I would have had to fly to LA in June and that is a big month in our household (3 boy birthdays, end of the school year parties, beach trip…) and my reasons for going were less about my business and more about the possibility of meeting Green Day or the Chili Peppers!
I don’t dismiss it entirely but I am happy with the way things are now.
Wow this turned into a rambling post.

First of all, I am addicted to my crack-berry, and am currently missing my Blackberry Pearl, stupid Cincinnati Bell hasn’t fixed mine yet and I hate my loaner Berry. Second of all I like the fabric on the right. Third I ordered my bag and am pretty pumped to get it, and I have plans for my second bag…I think I’m addicted.
I love reading your blog — your stories are great and I can relate b/c I have boys too and we live in Granville (not too far from you). Thanks for the entertainment and insight!
I’m also loving all of the pictures of the purses — they are so fun and bright. Man, I want spring!!!!!!! Curious, which purse do you carry and in what fabric? I have one … can’t recall the name, but I believe you stopped making it … anyway, it is in a brown sunflower fabric. It is fun but I’m feeling the need to save a few pennies to purchase a bright cheery one!!!
Happy Weekend. Tricia
Oh I LOVE Granville!
As for which bag I carry… I actually rotate- depending on where I am going.
Gym- a zippered pouch, enough for my ipod, cellphone, keys, etc
Errands, or day to day stuff- I rotate between The Large Bucket Bag pictured a week or so ago- in the Amy Butler print (I am partial to her fabrics- supporting the local girl!) and a Bailey in Morning Glory linen
Blue Jackets game- ok I actually have a black leather Coach bag that I take because I don’t want to throw a fabric bag on the floor of Nationwide Arena- yuck.
When I travel I use a messenger as my carry-on in Sunny Melrose and in the summer I use a Boxy Tote in Kleo to take to the pool- I will probably replace that one this year.
The teal purse on the left(the first pic), what is the style and fabric name?
It is a Large Bucket Bag in Stick Daisy
