One more day…

It stopped raining, and the sun is out but it is still muggy.  I broke down last night and turned on the a/c.  This is huge for me, I love having the windows open.  But between the kids complaining and my constant sinus headaches I decided it was time.  Oh and then there is my hair.  It just keeps getting bigger.

This morning I wandered around the yard with the doglets- Cole was still asleep and the boys were at school, only one more day and quiet mornings like this will be long gone.

I grabbed my camera and snapped some shots of the yard- things weren’t looking so great after the storm.  The peonies were drooping so I snipped some off and brought them inside.  The daisies looked like they were having a bad hair day.  But I can’t complain, I am just happy that so much stuff came back after the backyard was destroyed for the remodel.

I always go through phases with my photography, and with anything else I guess.  There was the “color” phase where I popped the color on all pictures, there was the back and white phase, lately there has been the through the viewfinder phase- but today I just wanted soft almost fuzzy images.

These first two are completely untouched

the bad hair daisies- sigh, I can so relate.

And then because I just can’t resist messing with them somehow…. I added a texture layer to these two

thinking of framing them up.

  1. I love your photos! Especially the first one…it’s so dreamy. You are inspiring me to get a new camera… 🙂

  2. Very nice photos. Would you consider sharing the process you use to make them so? I’ve tried finding an easy TTV action but can’t find one. I’ve tried making my own but they don’t turn out as nice as yours. Thanks

  3. Great pics. I don’t think I could live without my air on, which I’m in Louisiana and our low right now is 80. Our central air went out on Monday and I thought we all might melt, it sent me into a migraine. I can understand about the hair getting bigger. LOL Mine is short but oh so thick, just got it cut shorter today and thinned.

I love what you can do with photos, it’s awesome.
