If you are like me you have a list of blogs that you like to check in on, whether it is everyday or once a week- we all have our favorites. I have my “category” list with the different blogs I read. Scrapbooking, Photography, family- but by far for the past year I spend most of my online time chatting with and reading the blogs of people that have adopted children from Guatemala. Here are some of my favorites.
Chantelle– one of the nicest online friends I have met. We have chatted on the phone and she is so sweet and caring- not to mention gorgeous. I followed her process through her blog- her daughter Bianca is beautiful. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom and see her pics when they were in Guatemala- even her mom went down with her to Guat to visit Bianca (twice!). Her family is now in the process of adding another little girl to their family. This time from Ethiopia.
Cheri – I just stumbled on her blog recently and turns out she is Chantelle’s best friend. Her daughter just came home a few months ago. She has three boys (oldest is 18!) and now a one year old.
Jaime– Another blog that I followed through the process. Jaime has two young boys and adopted a little girl last year.
A few more that I check in on
Melissa
Tricia– this woman is amazing. She is constantly doing things to help the people of Guatemala. She is going back down again next month with tons and tons of gifts.
Kelly– Kelly and I have emailed lots, she is so sweet.
The adoption community is a tight one. Probably some of the nicest most compassionate people I have met. And a lot of them are absolutely amazing photographers. I am in love with this blog. This family in Dallas brought home a little girl from Vietnam. Her pictures have inspired me to get to know my camera a bit better. Shana, who has a daughter from China and a son from Guat, recently gave birth to her third child (at age 40 and she doesn’t look a day over 25- seriously). Her pictures are fantastic too.
So there you go, grab some coffee and be prepared to be inspired, by photography skills and a group of really great people.
Happy Monday!

Hey Elisa! I know just what you mean. I love the blogging world and getting to “know” wonderful women all over the world. I love sitting down with my morning coffee and peruse my favorite blogs. I just wanted to tell you how much inspiration I get from reading your blog. I love seeing your purses, your beautiful photographs, decorating ideas and your parenting anecdotes! Thanks Elisa! 🙂
