Indian Summer

We are in the throws of an amazing Indian Summer.  Temps in the mid 70’s, warm and sunny.  We are taking full advantage of it.

The kids were out of school yesterday for the election so we hit the park with some friends for a little hiking.

The boys were excited about all the little fish in the creek.

Thoughts are with my SIL today as she and her family make the trek from Dallas to their new home in New Jersey.  A three or four day journey with two small kids and a big dog!  Hope the warm weather sticks around long enough to greet you when you arrive.

  1. Hi Elisa, I feel compeled to leave you a note today. I read your blog daily and as normal ckecked in this morning and loved reading what I read. I truly hope that negative comments were not left. Like so many of you out there in the blogasphere you put your lives out there for us to see, so why should anyone feel it necessary to leave negative comments. You deserve respect and non-judgement, without people like you the world would be a smaller and duller place. Thanks again for the daily snippets, the way you photograph the story the your boys, dogs and life is a true inspiration.

  2. Hi Sally- thank you for the sweet comment.

No, I didn’t get any mean comments (I don’t think I had it up long enough for that). I took down part of the post because I couldn’t get the picture of Obama to work and so Austin’s quote didn’t make a lot of sense without the picture.

I agree that respect for others opinions is soooo important and something that we try to drill into the heads of our kiddos daily.

We are a happy bunch around here today!
