The beach was nice- but the water was cold and there were a ton of man-o-wars everywhere. Baby ones. Although I have been to many Florida beaches this was the first time my toes touched the sand of Ft. Lauderdale.
We had three really great meals- the first night was a small Mexican restaurant in downtown. It was yummy. The next night we headed over to Miami Beach to a tiny little Italian place. Once again, excellent food.
The third night we took a risk and tried a Cuban restaurant which turned out to be wonderful- if you are ever in Ft. Lauderdale check out Catalina on Federal. Mario (the owner) is great.
We walked around South Beach
and I had to get a shot of Miami Ink
But I was ready to come home missed my boys- and wanted to hold my little guy, who is still not feeling 100%. Good to get away, good to come home.
