Best way to spend a Friday night

I have a reputation around these parts for being a homebody. And I don’t deny it. While I like the occasional girls night out, I am not one to make it to every one (or even half). It also goes back to being a little lazy. I have friends that attend every function they are invited to, the thought absolutely wears me out.

And then there is the fact that I love to be with my guys (and girl).

Our Friday evening started with me cleaning up the driveway. We have a tree that craps sheds this weird stuff every spring and it makes a HUGE mess. The tree is a ginormous honey locust and I love the shade it provides but cleaning up after it is a real chore. The boys played on the trampoline.

Shiloh loves the trampoline. She gets feisty if you bounce her too high though.

Eva did some sleeping, big surprise

Then came the sprinkler under the trampoline. That’s always a hit.

Andy comes home from work and we make a big spread with guacamole, queso, salsa, red pepper quesadillas, and bean burritos. Yum.

Then a walk around the neighborhood and a stop to hang with friends wraps up a perfect Friday evening.

Oh- and I can’t forget the Penguins winning the Stanley Cup!!! 🙂 Those poor Red Wing dudes looked so sad.

  1. Sounds like a perfect friday to me!
We used to have one of those old school trampolines with the tarp. My dad came up with the idea of putting water and dish soap on it. Imagine a slip and slide on a trampoline! It’s a wonder no-one ever got hurt!
