We had no power for over a week when Ike blew threw the area. We spent a lot of time outside with friends. The Columbus Dispatch came over and photographed the kids running around in the backyard and Blake made the paper.
With the sun set and his flashlight in hand, 9-year-old Blake Kennemer of Worthington makes videos of his friends playing in the backyard. As of last night, Kennemer’s family was still without power almost a week after Sunday’s storm.
You would think it would be hard- but the weather was great and when it got dark, we pulled out flashlights and candles and went to bed. It was like camping. In our house. But it did get old. And we were so happy when the power came back on.
