Having read most of the books at your house (as you know), I was very disappointed in the first movie. It would be hard to follow if you didn’t already know the story line. And being a huge fan of “True Blood” on HBO, I didn’t think Edward was all that sexy a vampire. Blasphemy, I know. Maybe I just like mine older. If they ever get “older.”
I was slow to jump on the bandwagon too, but I loved them! I watched the movie soon after reading the first book and was a little disappointed, but I liked it better when I watched it again a while later. I think it helped to space them out – when the book wasn’t as fresh in my mind, I didn’t notice the differences in the movie as much.
I read the first book in the “True Blood” series and just couldn’t get into it. Maybe because I read Twilight first? I don’t know. Bill just wasn’t my kind of vampire and didn’t stack up to Edward at all.
I too liked the movie better after watching it again- still hoping this one is better tho…
You know I’m geeked 🙂
and I’ve been feeling the need to watch the movie again.. it definitely grows on you. 🙂
did you see the taylor swift fake twilight commercial on SNL? firelight.
we thought it was ridiculous…then we saw the ad for the real movie….not so far off.
everybody seems to like them so i should probably give them a shot?
maybe.
🙂
I could not stand the books – way too much angst and self-defeating conversation for me – but Maura LOVED them and she would be happy to come to the movie with you! oh, and me too – not quite the same as a pumpkin patch but we do love popcorn!!
