I’m not sure what the 365 rules are but I am going with the “no rules” approach and making it up as I go.
So, today I have more than one picture.
Yesterday we spent the day working on our basement. So that’s what my pictures are about.
Our basement is now U shaped (with all of the mechanical stuff, extra fridge, etc. on the inside part of the U).
Recently we decided to make the front part of the basement the “little kid” area and the back part the “big kid-man cave” area.
This is the front part of the basement and will be the “little kid” area. Eva is pretty excited about having some space.
As you can see in the back corner, one of the industrial sewing machines is here- so hopefully I can get some work done while she plays. Andy is putting together Ikea storage.
Shiloh was working hard- not sure Pottery Barn meant for these little chairs to be dog beds…
Austin gets a call on his phone from a friend inviting him to sleep over (Blake had already left for a sleepover)
The Buckeye Game was on in the soon to be man-cave/big kid cave
The “man-cave” area was added when we added on to the house- so it does not have the same cork floor that the rest of the basement has. Right now it is just concrete but I think the boys have decided on wall to wall carpet. I am not a big fan of carpet because I have allergies but since the rest of the house is all hardwood I felt like I could cave on this one. After all, I don’t plan on spending much time back there 🙂
In case you don’t know, the Buckeyes won!
As you can see they have a ways to go on the man-cave.
Austin decides to play a round of Beatles Rock Band before he heads out. Eva loves the guitar. It won’t be long before she is joining in…

Wow, you have a lot of room to work with down there. That is nice for the kids to have their own areas. I love Shiloh in the chair. Sleeping away, how sweet! I love this 365 idea!
Happy New Year, Elisa!
You inspired me to try the 365 project as well! By the way, is the black cabinet (with the tv in it) from IKEA? I’ve looked at it before — is it pretty sturdy?
Our PB Kids chairs like that turned into the exact same thing for Lucy.
