As I look outside at the inches of snow and ice, and look at the forecast which predicts nothing but cold temps- I am wondering how we managed to squeeze out one warm day last week.
But the second it warmed up, we ran outside.
And let the wind blow our hair
February is a hard month for me. Every year it is the same- I start questioning why we live in the north.
On top of that I have had what I thought were two sinus infections lately, only to finally find out that it is my allergies causing me all the pain. I had no idea. I wasn’t sneezing. But apparently allergies don’t just make you sneeze. I am now on meds and my face has stopped hurting.
But I still want warm weather and sunshine. I am so ready.
Miss Sassy Pants is ready. And she really is sassy.
She is at that stage where she rambles on and on and we can’t really understand most of it so we make things up, “did she just call me a ____???” “did she just tell me to shut up???” “she said you are stupid”
Mature I know
The walls of my house have started to close in, I am so tired of winter. I want green grass, palm trees, and warm breezes.
I want winter to go away.
And not come back until I am stringing Christmas lights.
You hear that winter? Bye-Bye.
Adios.

isn’t it crazy how you can have horrible allergies in the middle of winter? when everything is frozen?
i feel your pain. about the allergies and about the february. i always hated february when i lived in ohio…which was most of my life.
now i live where there are palm trees and ocean breezes. come on down! it’s totally worth it. (except for the allery part…that is worse down here.)
Love love love Eva’s wild mane! I’m feeling the same way about February right now – just wrote about escaping winter today!
i couldn’t agree more with you on the winter leaving. i am so over it. I want sunshine and windows down, music up when driving. i am ready for Robbie to play outside and have to beg him to come in for the night. i can’t believe how big E is getting. hard to believe she will be 2 soon!
I am ready for winter to leave, too! We got about 10 inches of snow dumped on us Monday! It did make for an extra long President’s weekend though. That was nice. NO school on Friday and Monday, then a snow day on Tuesday. Love Eva’s windblown hair!
I am SO with you! January is that month for me. I hate January. We have had a pretty easy Feb so far, last week was AWESOME and this week the lowest temp of the week is still in the high 40’s.
My allergies always hit like that. I never get the normal allergy symptoms, it goes straight into a sinus infection. Yuck.
Hope you feel better soon!
