We rented an extra long Expedition for the trip which was great until we got a flat tire in Arkansas
Eva was fascinated by this dead deer on the side of the road while we waited for the tire to be changed.
They kept watch for predators
Then it was back on the road
And finally some Texas sunshine
We went to a mini family reunion- and had fun with the horses
Except for Max, who was afraid of them
Did some riding on Grandads Cushmans
Then it was down to Austin
Where Blake had his pre-dinner poolside
And Cole jumped in the freezing pool- for $3

One of the best parts of the trip was hooking up with Chapel Hill friends
We spent a lot of time in the car- Blake learned the hard way that you shouldn’t fall asleep with your mouth open- Cole stuffed the strings of his sweatshirt in his mouth.
