On the drive out there the sun was shining, and as we climbed higher into the snow-capped mountains I started to feel more at peace with being stuck out here away from my family<\/p>\n<p>Because the reality is that if I was thrown back into my crazy life with this little newborn that has her days and nights mixed up, I would be pulling my hair out.  I need a little time to get used to being up half the night, to having someone that I have to watch constantly.  I am out of practice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/photos\/photo\/3510642284\/img_2191.html\" class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Medium\" title=\"IMG_2191\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3568\/3510642284_cbb4418c26.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2191\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>I was able to hang on to that feeling for most of the day.  Until I found out that Utah didn&#8217;t sign off on our paperwork until yesterday and Ohio won&#8217;t get it until today (Thursday).  Ohio is slow.  I have heard that 2 weeks is fast for them, but they have also taken up to 6.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/photos\/photo\/3510642848\/img_2190.html\" class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Medium\" title=\"IMG_2190\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3612\/3510642848_d2c7a9f7c2.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2190\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>I am trying to stay optimistic.  But truth is I want to go home.  I miss this face.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/photos\/photo\/3505122126\/img_1772.html\" class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Medium\" title=\"IMG_1772\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3544\/3505122126_f3cc282992.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1772\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>along with a bunch of others, including the furry ones.<\/p>\n<p>But today is a new day, the sun is shining and Eva and I are going to head over to a park and walk around.  I really wish I had brought a stroller!!<\/p>\n<p>First we need to hit Whole Foods for some bread, peanut butter, and jelly.
