I don&#8217;t want to read about someone with cancer, animal cruelty, missing children.  If I want that I will turn on the news.  Unfortunately it seems that ever book I pick up has a woman that gets cancer, a dog that dies, or some other depressing situation.<\/p>\n<p>I have put down the last two books, Pawleys Island, and Second Chance because they were both so boring.  It is such a relief to just put a book down that hasn&#8217;t hooked me.   I picked up Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin at B&#038;N and it has sucked me in.  <\/p>\n<p>Anyone out there that likes to read, friend me on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/\">Good Reads<\/a> and show me your list!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was on such a good string of good books and then bam, hit a wall with a few not so great ones.
