In less than a week my kids will be back in school. For the first time in forever I am ready. They got an extra long Summer this year as Chapel Hill starts school later than Ohio. They are bored and ready. I am ready for them to make friends and have more structure. I can’t believe I just said that.<\/p>\n

I’m also ready to get my big camera back out again. It has been WAY too long.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

So far the the kiddos are doing great with the move, living in a rental, and adjusting to everything new. And so far I am too. I miss my big kiddos terribly but I am happy that they are living in the same house and there for each other. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

One of the hardest parts about living here last time was that our house was in a very wooded neighborhood on very large lots. Don’t get me wrong, I loved that part of it. But at the same time it could be very isolating. This time around we chose an area close to downtown (well downtown is UNC) and I love it. Our rental is a few street away from where we are building in a neighborhood that has a market, small movie theater, restaurants, etc. It really makes a huge difference. <\/p>\n

Blake came back down and we took 3 outta 4 kids to Bald Head Island for the week. Andy had to work so he flew out to NYC and it was just me with the three. And two Golden retrievers \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We rented a house on the marsh this time. It had great views and had a dock with kayaks.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The dogs loved the beach of course.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Eva tried kayaking for the first time<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I was sitting on the screened porch and heard a lot curse word. I peak out and it was Blake. He almost tipped his boat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Sea turtle nests. We tried to go to one of the evacuations but it was so crowded we ended up leaving. BHI is becoming too popular. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

Out to dinner- when we were done I was paying the bill and Blake took the kids over to get ice cream. But first he leaned down and said, “tell the waitress I think she’s pretty.” lol<\/p>\n

Andy came back for the last day at the beach. We went to Howl at the Moon<\/a> with Blake.<\/p>\n

Back home in Chapel Hill and checking out new digs.<\/p>\n

Dinner and a walk around UNC<\/a>. Blake flew home the next day.<\/p>\n

Oak had to go the vet for some hot spots. He wasn’t sure what to think.<\/p>\n

Basement support walls going in. The long ones in front are the front porch supports.<\/p>\n

There is exercise equipment along the trail in our neighborhood which I have never used but Eva has \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
