Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baldheadisland.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">favorite beach<\/a>, was hit pretty hard by Hurricane Florence. We were afraid that it would take years for it to recover but we decided to go anyway to give it support. It wasn&#8217;t as bad as we thought it would be but you could still see the damage everywhere. Man I love that island and it was so great to go back and see for myself that it was going to be ok.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/8556FDF2-0620-4388-8AC4-3510A7C7EB82-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" class=\"size-large wp-image-15647\" \/> <\/p>\n<p>Everyone grabs a snack at the marina. Including these two. Both dogs were. Roughly around 55 degrees.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/85A4712-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-15654\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Fall beach time is so different than Summer beach time. Again. It seems to happen every trip we take. He spent the first couple days in bed with a fever and finally emerged feeling better by Thanksgiving.
