You can read more about it <a href=\"http:\/\/today.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/32349079\/ns\/health-pet_health\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The smartest dogs?  Here is their list<\/p>\n<p>   1. Border collies<br \/>\n   2. Poodles<br \/>\n   3. German shepherds<br \/>\n   4. Golden retrievers<br \/>\n   5. Dobermans<br \/>\n   6. Shetland sheepdogs<br \/>\n   7. Labrador retrievers <\/p>\n<p>the not so smart dogs?<\/p>\n<p>the hounds, such as the bassett hound and the Afghan hound, along with the bulldog, beagle and basenji (a hunting dog)<\/p>\n<p>Interesting, we have one off of each list.  We think our beagle is a genius- but who knows.<\/p>\n<p>Our poor Golden&#8230;I took her to the vet yesterday because she has horrible allergies and they get way worse when she goes to the farm.  When we picked her up both eyes were swollen and oozing green goo.  She had soars all over her head and ears, her ears were bright red and infected.  She was\/is a mess.<\/p>\n<p>So $400 later, I am home with 8 different medications.  She has infected eyes, a scratched cornea, infected ears, infected soars&#8230;. and the list goes on.  And now we are going to try to change her food (ouch- I won&#8217;t even tell you how much rx dog food is), which should be interesting trying feed her something different than the rest of the pack.  My poor girl.  I so want to get her feeling better.  I have her meds lined up on the counter, her new shampoo waiting in the dog shower.  We are also going to try to get her to lose a few lbs.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe I will snap a picture of her poor pathetic self.  <\/p>\n<p>As for the newsletter- holy cow, lots signed up.
