Throw it in your crockpot in the morning and it will be read to go by dinner. But now I am even more simples with it and just throw a jar of good salsa in the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4gZBjOO\">crockpot<\/a> with the chicken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I prep all the topping in advanced and put them in the fridge. For us I usually use shredded romaine lettuce, shredded fresh pepper jack cheese, avocado, and tomatoes if I have them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The thing that takes these up a level is making the taco shells from scratch and it is way easier than you think. You just need a pack of yellow corn tortillas and some oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Using high heat cooking oil (avocado, canola or vegetable oil) pour about 1\/2 inch into a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3F3WTEk\">dutch oven<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Heat the oil to 350\u00b0F-375\u00b0F  This is a good <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4bdxkNl\">thermometer<\/a> if you want to check the tempature<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Using <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4hSbJMW\">metal tongs<\/a>, place one corn tortillas at a time in the heated oil and cook for about 15 seconds.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Using the tongs, fold the tortilla in half and flip it over, cooking for another 10-15 seconds until it appears golden brown. Try to keep the folded shell open to avoid it frying in a closed position.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Remove from the skillet and place over paper towels.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are obsessed with these <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3EWZoIH\">taco holders<\/a> and use these while the tacos cool. Plus they are cute! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plate it up and enjoy!
