{"id":238,"date":"2007-06-13T17:59:05","date_gmt":"2007-06-13T22:59:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2007\/06\/13\/phase-one\/"},"modified":"2025-04-30T13:10:41","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T17:10:41","slug":"phase-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2007\/06\/13\/phase-one\/","title":{"rendered":"Phase One"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While Andy is wrapping up meetings in NYC the boys and I brought the dogs down to the farm for a week of doggie camp.\u00a0 As we were making the 3 hour haul, 3 kids, 3 dogs, and me&#8230;&#8230;I couldn&#8217;t help but think of how much easier the trip to the farm has gotten in the past couple of years.\u00a0 No screaming babies, no constant Disney tunes, just 3 boys and their DS Lites and me and my ipod.\u00a0 Whew, it&#8217;s been a long time coming.<\/p>\n<p>Now the dogs are running like crazy and having a great time.\u00a0 Lot&#8217;s of rolling around on their backs.\u00a0 Doggie camp consists of being quasi-farm dogs for a week.\u00a0 Plenty of room to roam and roll in nice smelling stuff.\u00a0 They get filthy, they sleep in the garage, they get very very tired.\u00a0 Then they get a bath and come home and sleep for days in their comfy beds.<br \/>\nFriday morning we are flying out bright and early (6am!!) to head down to Austin.\u00a0 I have been busting my booty to get as many bags out as I could before I left so I could actually enjoy this little trip and not feel guilty.\u00a0 But wouldn&#8217;t you know as soon as I checked my email from my parents house there was a nice little gripe waiting for me, how could I be taking\u00a0 ten days away from sewing when my wait is already so long??\u00a0 I have to say that this is when a cell phone and a level headed husband come in handy.\u00a0 Because he always says what I need to hear, and what I already know.\u00a0 My kids need to see their Grandparents, they need to see their aunts and uncles and cousins.\u00a0 They see them once a year.\u00a0 I am very very sorry that this means that if you just ordered, your wait might be a little longer than normal.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 BUT&#8212;There is still someone at home working full time sewing while I am gone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While Andy is wrapping up meetings in NYC the boys and I brought the dogs down to the farm for a week of doggie camp.\u00a0 As we were making the 3 hour haul, 3 kids, 3 dogs, and me&#8230;&#8230;I couldn&#8217;t help but think of how much easier the trip to the farm has gotten in the past couple of years.\u00a0 No screaming babies, no constant Disney tunes, just 3 boys and their DS Lites and me and my ipod.\u00a0 Whew, it&#8217;s been a long time coming.
