{"id":2585,"date":"2010-01-12T08:38:56","date_gmt":"2010-01-12T13:38:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/?p=2585"},"modified":"2025-04-30T13:15:24","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T17:15:24","slug":"12365","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elisalou.com\/blog\/2010\/01\/12\/12365\/","title":{"rendered":"12\/365"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today will hopefully be a good day.\u00a0 My dishwasher- you know the one that is only 2 years old and has been repaired 3 times (2 of those three times within two weeks of each other?).\u00a0 It is the same thing that keeps going out on it so they decided to replace a different part this time and that part needed to be ordered.<\/p>\n<p>So I have been without a dishwasher for about 3 weeks now.\u00a0 Insane.<\/p>\n<p>The repair man is supposed to come this morning.\u00a0 It will be his 4th time here.<\/p>\n<p>Blake is home sick again.\u00a0 Day 2 of fever and croup.<\/p>\n<p>I forgot Austin had an ortho appointment yesterday to replace the retainer that was chewed up by his friends dog.\u00a0 He came in the door and we ran back out when he reminded me.\u00a0 I decided on the way home that since Monday night is Andy&#8217;s late meeting night (who are we kidding here- every night is Andy&#8217;s late night) but I thought it would be easier to just order pizza for the kids.<\/p>\n<p>We usually contain Eva in the family room but when she escapes she gets so excited- so in the chaos of the pizza man arriving I snapped a few shots of her enoying her freedom.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Large\" title=\"IMG_0302\" href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/photos\/photo\/4268273489\/img_0302.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4005\/4268273489_dcd7ee2728_b.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0302\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a> <a class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Large\" title=\"IMG_0297\" href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/photos\/photo\/4268274739\/img_0297.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2786\/4268274739_e15a6f180e_b.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0297\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a> And a funny Austin story.\u00a0 He is very big on reminding me that it is not ok to text and drive.\u00a0 I do not do this but I have been known to look at my phone while sitting at a red light.<\/p>\n<p>So I got a text while at a red light on the way home from the ortho so I looked at the phone.\u00a0 Austin grabbed it, turned it off and put it in his pocket.<\/p>\n<p>Claiming he was saving my life and if I didn&#8217;t stop one day I was going to get in a car accident.<\/p>\n<p>He then went on to say, &#8220;And there is NO WAY you are leaving me with dad.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Which cracked me up..\u00a0 I complain a lot about Andy&#8217;s work schedule but he doesn&#8217;t like it either, nor do the kids.\u00a0 Andy is often grumpy from working a lot.\u00a0 The kids get tired of the grumpiness.<\/p>\n<p>I told him, &#8220;well maybe dad would remarry and you would get a mom that was a lot nicer than me!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He thought about this for a minute, I could see the wheels turning.<\/p>\n<p>So I quickly added, &#8220;but that won&#8217;t happen- because any woman coming into a family of 4 kids that are not hers is NOT going to be nice.\u00a0 She would run away screaming.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So then he tells me that he would go and live with a friend.\u00a0 And he would take the PS3.\u00a0 I told him the PS3 would have to stay, Blake paid for half.\u00a0 So round and round we went.<\/p>\n<p>Finally he said really loud, &#8220;Just don&#8217;t text and drive!!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Got it.<\/p>\n<p>And I don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today will hopefully be a good day.\u00a0 My dishwasher- you know the one that is only 2 years old and has been repaired 3 times (2 of those three times within two weeks of each other?).\u00a0 It is the same thing that keeps going out on it so they decided to replace a different part this time and that part needed to be ordered.
