Break"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, before I got this nasty cold that has been dragging me down, I decided that I was going to start enjoying the things around me.\u00a0 One of the biggies is the hike and bike trail.\u00a0 When I lived in Austin I used to load my bike up in my car and truck it over to town lake to ride.\u00a0 Town Lake really isn&#8217;t a lake, it&#8217;s a river.\u00a0 And now I have one at the end of my block, equally beautiful, also along a river, wooded, and even longer than the one in Austin.\u00a0 But do I take advantage of it?\u00a0 Of course not.\u00a0 Andy and the kids use it when biking to the pool, sometimes we take the dogs down for a little off leash time.\u00a0 But for the most part we don&#8217;t use it that much.\u00a0 Every time I walk or ride down there I think the same thing, I need to come here more.\u00a0 It&#8217;s peaceful, it&#8217;s pretty, it&#8217;s shady and cool, and it&#8217;s incredibly convenient.\u00a0 I did good for a few days, got my bike out and hooked up the trailer for Cole and off we went.\u00a0 Then I got sick.\u00a0 But as soon as I kick this cold I am going to get back on track.<\/p>\n<p>The other thing we don&#8217;t take advantage of any more is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colszoo.org\/\">zoo<\/a>.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a pretty good one.\u00a0 I talked Andy into going on Sunday.\u00a0 It was a nice break from doing work.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"tt-flickr\" href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/photos\/photo\/886618970\/columbus_zoo.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" border=\"0\" alt=\"columbus zoo\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1164\/886618970_294548a610.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Did you know that baby flamingos are not pink?<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"tt-flickr\" href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/photos\/photo\/886619194\/columbus_zoo_baby_flamingo.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" border=\"0\" alt=\"columbus zoo baby flamingo\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1277\/886619194_b5c2b68d39.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The zoo has a lot of great conservation projects going on and one of the cool things that I really like is their manatee rehabilitation.\u00a0 They fly these big guys up from Florida after they have been injured (usually by boats) and get them healthy again.\u00a0 When they are strong enough, they send them back to the ocean.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"tt-flickr\" href=\"https:\/\/elisalou.com\/blog\/photos\/photo\/886619548\/manitee.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" border=\"0\" alt=\"manitee\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1322\/886619548_3818c7d832.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"tt-flickr\"
