<\/a>I don’t even know where to start.\u00a0 The wallpaper, the floor, the aluminum slider to the right…<\/p>\nSee that wall where the stove is?\u00a0 On the other side of that is the dining room.\u00a0 We knocked that wall down.\u00a0 These pictures were taken the day we looked at the house (when it was for sale)<\/p>\n
We bought this house in March of 2003.\u00a0 We didn’t do out major remodel until August of 2007.\u00a0 That said, we didn’t live with it like this that whole time.\u00a0 We made changes ourselves (we took out the wall, changed the floor, took out the slider and added french doors, made the “U” shape bigger by getting rid of the eat-in area.)\u00a0 During that time we continued to look for a different house.<\/p>\n Here is the dining room<\/p>\n Gutted<\/p>\n another picture of the floor and new cabinets<\/p>\n And then a few from yesterday.\u00a0 Once again I didn’t clean- and notice the Lysol on the counter- puking kid.<\/p>\n the fridge- I love this thing!<\/p>\n the carve-out over the sink. Through there you see the new family room and then the new screened porch beyond that.\u00a0 Please ignore the mess!<\/p>\n docking station- I just bought that.\u00a0 Love it.\u00a0 Oh which remind me of another question- where I got the cabinet in the last post (the white one).\u00a0 I find all of these cool little things at Home Goods or TJ Maxx.<\/p>\n Mess.\u00a0 And a big stack of more idea magazines.\u00a0 We are doing the dining room next.\u00a0 It was the room we lived out of while the rest of the house was destroyed.<\/p>\n I think I have shown the rest of the kitchen lots of times but I will show it again.\u00a0 Door to basement.<\/p>\n Banquet on left, back door after that, bathroom, garage door, dog shower on the right where all of those lovely boxes are stacked for recycling.\u00a0 But first, this closet used to be where the white bench is now (and the area where the white bench is will eventually become built-in lockers)<\/p>\n My inspiration for the banquet<\/p>\n The bathroom before (their last name started with a K too \ud83d\ude42 )<\/p>\n<\/a>Our family (even before Eva and Cole) had a hard time fitting around the table in the “eat-in” kitchen.\u00a0 It was perched in front of a slider.\u00a0 It was awkward.<\/p>\n<\/a>Another slider here going out to the screened porch.\u00a0 When we added on, we knocked down the screened porch (I will show pictures of that when I show the outside- all the kids helped!) And where that screened porch was, is now our family room.<\/p>\n<\/a>Here is Blake and Astro looking out that slider when were digging the basement<\/p>\n<\/a>And Cole while they were starting to frame it- and below the dogs trying to figure out how to get back in the house (there was a huge hole between the house and where they were<\/p>\n<\/a>Ok back to the kitchen<\/p>\n<\/a>look at all the dust showing up in the air<\/p>\n<\/a>See the french doors on the left?\u00a0 That was built out and became our banquet.\u00a0 The next door (which used to be a walk-in pantry) became our back door.<\/p>\n<\/a>Here is the drywall phase- and you can see where they put down the new wood floor and matched it up to the old wood floor in the old dining room<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a>I don’t even know what to say.<\/p>\n<\/a>And here it is during<\/p>\n<\/a>We have hardwood floors in that bathroom, the tile was for Blake and Cole’s bathroom upstairs.<\/p>\n<\/a>And here it is complete with toilet paper rolls<\/p>\n
